This regex removes double-slash comments while avoiding anything between 'quotes' or "double quotes".

Expression to match a large amount of possible musical chords. From what I understand from musicians, the number of chords is basically infinite, but you will still find a certain scope being used freuently.

We have a pipe delimited text file and each new record is separated by a CRLF. Each record has a fixed number of pipes, but not every column or field is valued, so there may be 2 or more pipes together. Is there a way to write a regex to parse out the third or fifth value? Many thanks in advance.

Parse a Finnish date with de "dd. mmmm yyyy" or "dd.mm.yyyy" format.

I use this regex to quickly convert the class' variables into a string which is usable with the "function" array. I copy-paste the varialbe name and use this regex. Useful to convert all your variable and put it in the magic function __sleep(). After it, you can delete the variables you don't want.

Works for the Julian calendar, dates between 0000-01-01 and 9999-12-31. Includes my birth date in the 4th example.

Substitutes a group of dates by its information and captures the date information. Also allows fooled dates. (2015-02-30, 2015-03-32 for example)
